At Warees Halal Limited (WHL), we are committed to creating a positive global footprint through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes. We seek to improve the quality of life within the communities we operate, and through our mission of “Enabling an empowered Halal community”, we aim to nurture and integrate the society in our efforts to create a sustainable Halal food industry in Singapore and overseas for the future generations.

WHL initiated our community service programme by participating as a 2018 Participating Enterprise in the “1000 Enterprises for Children-in-Need (1000E)” programme, an initiative by the Singapore Children’s Society. Recognising that community involvement efforts contribute towards meeting WHL’s corporate goals and objectives, our programmes are endorsed and supported by the WHL’s management and Board of Directors.
VOX @ Children’s Society
We spent a fruitful afternoon at one of Singapore Children’s Society’s youth drop-in centres, VOX @ Children’s Society on 11 Oct 2018. The youths were engaged through the Halal Trail activity that focused on the world of Food & Beverage (F&B) and Halal industry.
VOX @ Children’s Society is a drop-in centre that serves youth aged between 13 and 18. In modelling its intervention on the Positive Youth Development Framework, the Centre aims to impart the 5Cs – Caring, Character, Competence, Confidence and Connection – to the youth through developmental programme and sports. Youth who require more targeted help will be given the necessary support through casework and counselling.
