It involves the development and maintenance of documentation on the Halal Quality Management (HalMQ) System and obtaining relevant supporting documents for all the ingredients. Companies that have decided to embark on Halal Certification must be aware of the documentation requirements. This allows the organisation to prepare and comply with the requirements set by the certification body.
